I'm curious how you decide what to color and how much? The comic seems mostly greyscale but there are subtle colors that I really like (not to mention Pinkie seemingly breaking the 4th wall simply by being full-colored all the time). Is it just whim or is there involved thought on what to emphasize with color?
Well, in my headcanon eyes and cutiemark have their special sort of magic tied to the ponies lifeforce, same goes with the blood running in their veins that’s undiminishable from them. Gems and crystals other than simple quartz have their color from the magical resonances they trap within in pony world, and if the sun itself ever got drawn in any of the frames it would have color because of reasons.
Then there are moments in which magical properties like friendship and whatnot of ponies are influencing the events in their lives that color up the scene momentarily. and sometimes just for the sake of illustrating a mood / experience of the pony in symbolic colors like blush and green nausea.

And i have no self-oc but Mascara is my OC as in original character, as is her grandmother, little sister and mom, aunt, and dad. Whom have not yet been seen. I don’t think I could represent myself as a pony. Or any other MLP species. all attempts would justt look like background pony Average Pon.

In a sense all matter in this universe is connected, so in a way there’s all of me in your face.
Einstein theorized that space and time are intertwined and that matter is inseparable from an ever-present quantum energy field and this is the sole reality underlying all appearances.
This would imply that me and your face are connected on quantum level. In cosmic scale also distance between me and your face is utterly marginal and thus negligible.
